Dr. Parmain ole Narikae was the Managing Director of Kenya Industrial Estates(KIE) for over 7 years, managing 37 branches countrywide, lending up toKshs.1billion annually and reating up to 30,000 jobs annually. He is creditedwith turning-around KIE to profit making since its inception & improving itsperformance which earned him the award of Moran of the Burning Spear (MBS)by H.E the President in 2019.

The University of Eldoret, Kenya, under the auspices and support of the Society for Molecular Biology and Evolution (SMBE) will host the SMBE Regional Symposium on Evolutionary Genomics in Agriculture, Environment, Biodiversity conservation and Health, in Eldoret. Evolutionary genomics is important in addressing critical questions and providing tools and strategies in agricultural production, natural resource management and biodiversity conservation, because of their power, accuracy and applicability, supported by advanced analytical and computational platforms.
