The School of Environmental Studies at the University of Eldoret is pleased to announce an upcoming Environmental Impact Assessment/Environmental Audit Course. This comprehensive training program is designed to equip senior officials, managers, officers, and students from Ministries, Industries, NGOs, Universities, etc,  with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively address policy, environmental, and development issues in alignment with the goals of Vision 2030.

Vice-Chancellor meets with the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Eldoret

Prof. Thomas Cheruiyot held discussions with Bishop Dominic Kimengich from the Catholic Diocese of Eldoret. The talks covered a wide range of issues mutually beneficial to the University, the Church and the Society and how the University and the Church can partner to ensure wholistic upbringing of the youth in Educational institutions like Universities.

University Annual Research Grants Cohort 9 Awarding Ceremony

The awarding ceremony of the UoE-ARG Cohort 9 research grants was held on 17th  May, 2025 at the University. The  Vice-Chancellor Prof. Thomas Cheruiyot presided over the awarding ceremony. The University of Eldoret, Kenya, under the auspices and support of the Society for Molecular Biology and Evolution (SMBE) will host the SMBE Regional Symposium on Evolutionary Genomics in Agriculture, Environment, Biodiversity conservation and Health 2025, in Eldoret.  Evolutionary genomics is important in addressing critical questions and providing tools and strategies in agricultural production, natural resource management and biodiversity conservation, because of their power, accuracy and applicability, supported by advanced analytical and computational platforms.
