Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & Students’ Affairs)

The University of Eldoret is strategic in offering unique programmes in Science, Agriculture, and Technology to contribute to meeting the human resource requirements towards the achievement of the Kenya Vision 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The University has academic professionals who have established and nurtured cutting-edge networks locally and internationally benefiting the country and the world at large.

The University of Eldoret has realized milestones in curriculum development, review, and harmonization through the Senate, and accreditation by the Commission for University Education (CUE) as required by the Universities Act (2012). It offers a variety of market-driven academic programmes sought after by many students. The programmes are run in seven schools and their associated academic departments. The University also has active community engagement programmes which connect academic activities to real-life and larger community environments.

There are several services under the Students’ Affairs Department whose purpose is to make students’ experiences more fulfilling as they pursue their academics. As an annual routine, we conduct leadership and induction training to equip the Students’ Council with leadership skills essential for their work. The University has held various campus life activities such as health and wellness awareness, guidance and counseling, mentorship programmes, clubs, and societies activities, alumni meetings as well as faith-based activities.
