The University of Eldoret is strategic in offering unique programmes in Science, Agriculture, and Technology to contribute to meeting the human resource requirements towards the achievement of the Kenya Vision 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The University has academic professionals who have established and nurtured cutting-edge networks locally and internationally benefiting the country and the world at large.

The Office of the Vice-Chancellor is divided into:

1. The Main Vice-Chancellor’s Office.
2. The Personal Assistant/Reception Office.

As a core organ within the University, the Office of the Vice-Chancellor is designated to handle the following functions:

We are pleased to inform you that the certificate collection process will commence on Monday, January 15th, 2024. In order to receive your certificates, you must complete full clearance with all departments and sections of the university.

The 1^st University Town Hall session between the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Thomas Cheruiyot, the University Management team and the members of staff was held on Monday 18^th December 2023 at the Kerio Hall. After the opening prayer with Unions were welcomed to make their presentations.

After successfully competing during the Regional KUPAA Drama Festival, the UoE Drama Club proceeded to the National KUPAA Drama Festival held at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology showcasing the various Performing Arts Categories, Beauty Pageantry, and Fine Art. The team won 4 Trophies,  2 Sashes, a Tiara and were presented with Certificates.

To enhance further our engagement as per our partnership with VIVES University from Belgium, the University in collaboration with the Directorate of Industrial Linkages, Partnerships and Collaboration and the Directorate of Research and Innovation played host to a delegation from VIVES University comprising Dr. Ir. Isabel Vanslembrouck; Director of Research and Valorisation and Mr. Evert Cottyn the International Coordinator for Technology on 6th December 2023.

Prof. Thomas Kimeli Cheruiyot was officially installed as the 2nd Vice-Chancellor of the University of Eldoret in a rich colourful function during the 12th Graduation Ceremony held at the University Pavilion grounds on Thursday 30th November, 2023. 

The installation was a significant milestone in the University’s history as we received a well-tested and tried visionary leader whose dedication, expertise and unwavering commitment to excellence has been widely recognized through his academic and administrative career.

University of Eldoret held its 1st physical graduation after 5 virtual graduation ceremonies where 3,178 graduands were conferred with degrees and awarded diplomas during a colorful graduation ceremony presided over by the Ag. Chancellor, Dr. Ismail Buro. The congregation witnessed the installation of the 2nd Vice-Chancellor, marked with academic pomp and color, as Prof. Thomas Cheruiyot received the instruments of power, the University Mace, The University Statutes and Charter, the University Seal, the University Logo and the University Academic Programmes.

The Venture for Change (V4C) under the Making More Health (MMH) initiative is a program for students of different Universities in Kenya to conceive, develop, and implement innovative ideas to foster hygiene, food safety and heathy in slums and rural areas. Boehringer Ingelheim international sponsors the program.
