The swearing in of the 11th Students’ Council took place on Thursday 18th April, 2024 at the School of Business conference room. The swearing in was presided over by the University Senior Legal Officer who is also a commissioner for oaths, Mr. Steven Anditi. A total of 27 newly elected School Representatives and 7 (seven) members of the Students’ Council were sworn in.
The Vice-Chancellor, who was the Chief Guest at the function, was represented by Prof. Beatrice Were, the Ag. Deputy Vice-Chancellor (ASA). Also present was the Returning Officer of the 11th SC elections Dr. K. Keter, and his Deputy Dr. Jackson Kitilit, the Senior Assistant Dean of Students, staff from the Dean of Students office, and members of the Students’ Electoral Commission led by the Chair, Mr. Enock Magero.
Prof. Were congratulated the newly elected members of the Students’ Council and the School Reps upon their election. She encouraged them to serve the students with diligence and work closely with the university administration through consultation and teamwork to support university programmes and activities.

- Victor Ondari Arati - Special Member in charge of Students with Disability
- Kennedy Kisanya - Special Member in charge of Postgraduate & International Students
