This event was spearheaded by the University Health Services Department in collaboration with the AIDS Control Unit. The facilitators comprised health professionals from Tophill Hospital and the Rupaz Fun and Fitness Centre.

The health seminar brought to light significant issues affecting men's mental and physical health. The group of health experts was led by Dr. Florentius Koech, an esteemed neurosurgeon and the Chief Executive Officer of Tophill Hospital. This multidisciplinary team included a general surgeon, a physician, a psychologist, a nursing professional, and a fitness coach.

During a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Nicholas Makau (Acting Vice-Chancellor), representing Prof. Thomas Cheruiyot, described the initiative as both opportune and indispensable for the well-being of the staff, emphasizing the pressing issue of chronic diseases affecting men.

A health camp was organized at the University Health Services facilities, where the participants were assessed for various medical conditions, including prostate and colon cancer. Medical guidance was offered, and common health issues were treated.
The staff members conveyed their appreciation for the gesture and urged the University Management to consider establishing this as an annual tradition.
