The University of Eldoret, through its Productivity Mainstreaming Committee and the Directorate of Strategic Planning & Performance Contracting, held a successful two-day workshop on Productivity Management Framework and Data Collection from 12th to 13th June 2025.
Facilitated by experts from the National Productivity and Competitiveness Centre (NPCC), the workshop aimed to equip staff with knowledge on measuring productivity using UoE’s customized metrics. The productivity baseline index developed will be tracked annually to support continuous improvement.
Speaking at the opening, Prof. Wilson Ng’etich, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration & Finance), reaffirmed the University’s commitment to enhancing individual and institutional productivity. He encouraged a transformative mindset to drive impactful outcomes.
The workshop brought together Deans, Directors, and Heads of Departments, with key insights shared on the distinction between productivity and performance, as well as practical techniques for improvement.
This initiative aligns with national efforts to promote productivity and competitiveness in public institutions.
