Need Help with Elearning

The university has implemented blended teaching and learning for all the courses being offered in different schools. This move was taken in order to ensure teaching and learning continue seamlessly. Some thesis and research proposal defences are also conducted online. The eLearning programmes are coordinated by the Directorate of Open, Distance and eLearning (ODeL).

In order to ensure smooth teaching and learning, the University has appointed School ODeL coordinators who are supported by Departmental ODeL coordinators to offer the required services for online teaching and learning, as it continuously monitors the programmes for compliance with all the requirements. 

The University has developed relevant policies for online teaching and learning as well as reviewed other guidelines needed for eLearning. The University has already upgraded the online teaching and learning resources in order to support more students within their respective programmes. The University is in the process of developing the following two programmes to be offered purely online;

There are over 15 wireless internet hotspots (Enterprise Wireless Access Points) within the University that learners can use to access e-learning systems. This is in addition to the wired internet connectivity available at the computer laboratories and library.

All students are expected to have a laptop to attend online teaching and learning.
