UoE class of 2021 (Bachelors in Hospitality Management), for being recognized as a finalist and awarded a Certificate of Merit in the National Tourism Competition under the Barista category.

During the competition, Fredrick presented his espresso-based signature drink, Tropic Noir which is a creative fusion designed to showcase balance and contrast. Tropic Noir combines the vibrant notes of raspberry, peach, and pineapple with the bold depth of espresso, delivering a harmonious blend of brightness, intensity, and sophistication. It is a drink crafted to capture the feeling of a tropical daydream that gracefully transitions into a smooth, caffeinated night. Fredrick Otieno, a hospitality professional currently works at Radisson Blu Hotel, Upper Hill Nairobi as a Bartender/Barista. Your achievement is a true testimony that University of Eldoret nurtures global leaders and innovators for sustainability.
