On the sidelines of the RAAs Conference, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Thomas Cheruiyot was honoured with a courtesy visit from Dr. Juma Mukwana, the Principal Secretary for the State Department of Industry in the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry. They engaged in a fruitful discussion regarding various avenues for collaboration and partnership that could substantially benefit the University through advancements in education, research, infrastructure, and technological development.
Mrs. Esther Ngari, the Managing Director of the Kenya Bureau of Standards who accompanied the Principal Secretary, extended her heartfelt congratulations to the Vice Chancellor on the recent ISO recertification. She urged the Vice Chancellor and his team to not only maintain the established standards but to surpass them, thereby enhancing service delivery to the University’s key customers and stakeholders.
Present during the courtesy call were Hon. Dr.Chrisantus W. Wakhungu, Chairman of the National Standards Council, alongside Mr. Stephen K. Yego and Ms. Momanyi Nyabonyi, members of the National Standards Council and Ms. Miriam B. Kahiro the Company Secretary. Accompanying the Vice-Chancellor was Prof. Godfrey Netondo, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and Students’ Affairs).
