Recently in the 6th International Interdisciplinary (IIC6) Conference that was held in the University of Eldoret from 4th to 6th September 2019, Dr. Orao launched her book entitled; Mother-in-law/Daughter-in-law Hidden Agenda; The Gist of Family at a Conference Consortium Dinner held in Noble Hotel Eldoret.
The book is an analysis of Kenyan 'Mother-in-law' Citizen TV Programme. It is a wakeup call to Parents, Mothers-in-law, Daughters-in-law and potential ones to understand the communication role in relationships and to grasp tips on how to have a cordial relationship. To achieve maximum potential, Dr. Orao still writes articles and papers to give insights on the phenomena affecting the society at large, especially on the familial relationship.
The book tries to analyse the question that lingers in people's minds in the relationship between mothers-in-law and their daughters-in-law is: "What is this conflict about, and how can it be resolved?" Dr. Orao neatly captures the determinants (Themes) of this relationship and the underlying factors that when manipulated well will resolve the conflict between mothers and their daughters-in-law. It captures in detail the way the familial triad works. This is an enlightening life experience that is clearly brought out in a content analysis research that is a must-read to all current and potential mothers-in-law/daughters-in-law and parents.
'Mother-in-law' book speaks to all on matters that people assume not to be important and are actually the key in this unending conflict.
