The 10th Annual Heads of Institutions Forum was held on 6th-7th December, 2018 at Serena Beach Resort and Spa in Mombasa. The Forum which was attended by more than 100 Kenya Education Network members saw UoE being represented by the University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Teresa Akenga.
The Forum whose main theme was ‘Achieving and Sustaining High Level of Institutional E-Readiness’ was aimed at analyzing the preparedness of Institutions in Kenya in transforming their education curriculum through the use of ICT. Currently, Kenya Education Network who are the main facilitators for the event has a total of 145 members (UoE being one of them), with a community size of 744,065 users comprising of students, teaching staff, researchers and administrative staff.
During the forum, UoE was instrumental in highlighting the Process of ERP Implementation within its sections and department since 2016-2018. This was ideal in highlighting the University strides towards ERP automation, by identifying the challenges, opportunities, and successes which were brought about by ERP within the institution.
