Admissions for Diploma in Aquaculture and Fisheries Management is ongoing for students who scored a mean grade of C- with D+ in mathematics in KCSE OR Credit pass in Fisheries related course from a recognized Institution. This is a two years course offered in two modules per semester for 4 semesters. Graduates with credit and above from this Diploma programme will be admitted to 2nd year BSc. Fisheries and Aquatic Science at the University of Eldoret.

About the Department
The Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences was established in 1990 as the first fisheries training institution of higher learning in Eastern Africa to deal exclusively with training personnel for the fisheries sector. Currenty its an african cetre of excellence in fisheries sciences in collaboration with LUANAR University of Malawi. The alumini of the department are currently widespread serving the nation in various research institutions, state department of Fisheries, County governments, government parastatals, international and national NGO’s dealing with conservation of aquatic resources. Several have also established their own businesses in fish farming, fish feed production, and ornamental fisheries among others.
