The School of Science was established in 1990 and has since grown and evolved into the heart of STEM training at the University of Eldoret, serving over 75% of the student population. The school conducts training in foundational and specialized courses in the basic and applied sciences. The School of Science's vision is to be a world-class center in pursuit of scientific knowledge. Our mission is to train graduates who are empowered with the skills and knowledge to create change, enhance the advancement of scientific knowledge, and provide innovative solutions to the problems facing the Kenyan society and the world. We also hope to impact the society through community training, outreach & relevant research.
The School consists of four departments: Chemistry and Biochemistry, Mathematics and Computer Science, Biological Sciences and Physics, where it offers diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
